"Do you believe in fairies? Say quick that you believe.
If you believe, clap your hands!"
- James Matthew Barrie
As a young girl I always had the exited flutter that came with the thought that fairies actually exist. It was the same feeling I had when I knew Santa was coming, or that our garden would be visited in the night by the Easter bunny.
It warms my soul to now see Bethany hold that same excitement in her heart.
Today we headed off with Sarah, Charlotte and Sophie to Seatoun, which is a suburb on the other side of Wellington. Sarah introduced us to the most amazing little shop called The Faraway Tree Fairy Shop. With the door latched open, and the smell of sweet incense lingering, you entered a haven for fairies, almost a land of worship. As we walked further we were welcomed by a doorway to the Fairies Dell.
Inside was just stunning, fairy lights, fairy dust and magical forest land made the room an amazing venture. Needless to say we were all in awe.
After we headed off to the park so the girls could let off some of that fairy energy, we had a great time and although the weather was bright with the odd peak of sunshine, there was a cold wind which meant our visit was a short one!
A short and gorgeous drive around the bays took us to Scorching Bay, where there was no wind and the sunshine warmed us immensely. Here is a delightful little place called The Chocolate Fish Cafe.
With some therapeutic time on the beach for us all it made for the most peaceful morning.
“One day at a time - this is enough. Do not look back and grieve over the past for it is gone; and do not be troubled about the future, for it has not yet come.
Live in the present, and make it so
beautiful it will be worth remembering"
- Lewis Carroll
