Bethany The Creator

Both my dad and Michael's mam are fantastic artists, the gene must have skipped Michael and I and just jumped straight to Bethany.

When we moved into our house we created a playroom on one side of the double garage. Main feature was the art easel. Here is a little clip from October 2006 when Bethany first saw her new room:

We were amazed at the paintings that Bethany was doing, we may be a little biased but for her age of 2 years and 11 months we thought she was excellent. Each picture would always come with an explanation as well, which was lovely.

Our double garage is a complete shrine to Bethany's art. All the walls are covered, we are so proud of her, however we are starting run out of space! You can see the difference here in only a few months!

As Bethany has developed her drawings have also improved. She can now sit happily drawing for hours, asking us what she should draw next.

Bethany seems to be quite creative in many other ways too. She often surprises us by making things from random objects.

The overspill of amazing pictures have now moved to the kitchen where we have her absolute best ones on display for everyone to see.

Bethany can now also write her name, we think she has done fantastically well at 3 years and 6 months to write her name unaided. She has an amazing attention span when it comes to writing and has even started to ask about her 'second name' and how to spell it!

However we can only have one absolute favourite, and right now winning in the 'well that's just charming' award is this one - Mammy with a spot!!!!
