Unless you have been living under a rock you will know that some very famous films have been made in New Zealand. The wonderful accomplishment is promoted here everyday and New Zealand is so proud of everything they have and everything they do, it makes us proud to now be part of a country that is happy with 'its lot'.
Today we took a trip to the city to see if we could spot some budding new film makers. This weekend is the 48 Hours Furious Film Making Weekend.
Being someone who has always wanted to act and be part of the film industry I find Wellington so very exciting.
I do think with Bethany's little 'personality' she definately has the acting genes!
So off we went in search...
The only thing we did find was the Wellywood Backpackers making the most of the publicity. This is a Hotel that has been painted in fantastic zebra design. I think its designed to appeal to all those in seek of fame!
We never did see any film makers but we did have a fantastic time in the city visiting the shops. The thing that amazed us both (this is our first Saturday shopping trip) was - where is everyone?!
Lambton Quay which is the main shopping stretch was so quiet and relaxed that Bethany could skip off ahead without bothering anyone!
And again its been another beautiful day at 17 degrees.
We visited so many gorgeous little shops, Bethany was treated with some new star lights for her bed, and we bought some incense sticks and some of the magic tea (thanks Sarah!).
We even managed to stop off at a toy shop so that Bethany could fuel her lego addiction.
After all the fun it was time for some medicine, so we stopped off at a lovely bar on the waterfront for some of that sunny-afternoon-alcohol-time.
Oh and despite not actually seeing any movie makers, at least Michael managed to become famous!
