It's A Tough Life...

Weekends are obviously our family time which we treasure dearly. We always try to make sure we do something. Being here in Wellington means just walking out of the door is 'doing something' as there is beauty on every corner.

Friday night is the end of a long week at work for Michael and weather permitting we always take a walk to 'our' beach. Hunting for shells, dodging the sea and watching the sunset is just pure bliss. We are so lucky to be here and to have all this on our doorstep.

On Saturday Michael took Bethany swimming again as this is now Bethy and Daddy time. As Saturday is usually a lazy day for us we took a gorgeous stroll along Oriental Parade and had ice-creams by the beach.

The weather was again beautiful despite a huge cloud, however this cloud did look amazing with the sun hiding behind it. Oriental Parade is one of our most favourite areas in Wellington, there is the whole breath taking view of the city, busy little metropolitan shops, cafes and bars, and its the place for anyone and everyone running, on bikes, rollerblades, and even crocodile bikes!

Bethany loves the freedom that we can give her here. She can run free and enjoy everything, without us having to worry.

However I would say she definitely loves the ice-creams, which you can see here by her face and her clothes!

No matter what time of the year there are some absolutely gorgeous flowers and plants here growing in abundance everywhere. Grandma Dawes would be very excited!

Beautiful day, beautiful family, beautiful weather and beautiful Wellington...
