Mothers Day

It was Mothers Day here yesterday. We had a lovely morning at home, Bethany did a cute card for me and showed me her train she made, she said she was going to take me to see some squirrels....!

We then met Sarah and Dan at the Southern Cross and had a brilliant morning. This was our first trip there and we loved it. They had a children's entertainment area where Bethany made a finger puppet, had her face painted and with some help from Daddy made a stick person!

Sarah and Dan have become very good friends of ours. Bethany just loves playing with Charlotte. Sarah has helped me so much with understanding the emotional issues that come with starting a new life in a new country.

We have decided that the Southern Cross may now become our Sunday morning breakfast place from now on! It was just lovely. We sat in this really cool area outside and had an absolute gorgeous breakfast.

We literally then spent the rest of the morning enjoying the surroundings, the amazing atmosphere and the gorgeous company.

Michael needed to go into work on the afternoon so we went along too. This was the first time I had been to see where he worked. Even his mam and my mam have been!

We played, made some pictures and Bethany did some 'jobs' by watering all the plants!

It was great to go into work with Michael as it gives Bethany an understanding and a vision of where Daddy goes everyday!

We finished our very busy day with a lovely stroll through the city. As it now gets dark here at 5.30pm this was the first time we had been out in downtown Welly in the dark. Fabulous city.
