That's it, the car is going on the naughty step. No, I haven't been watching too much Super Nanny. In fact, I actually dislike the show. However, it's time for the car to go on a time out.
It was due it's service, and I knew there was a minor problem with it, as it's been running rich and stuttering under acceleration. So off it went to Armstrong Subaru garage. Now after previous problems such a full engine rebuild, new radiator, replaced gearbox mount and faulty fuel pump, there isn't much else surely that can go wrong with it?
No, the Mass Air Flow Meter is now failing, so there's either not enough or too much fuel going through. Oh, and that will be $650 please. Out of all the major purchases we've made since arriving here (new BBQ, fish tank etc) the additional warranty for the car was certainly the best. At least that $650 will be reduced to about $100!
