Aesthetically Wonderful

From our house we can see the wonder that is the Wind Turbine. It brings a lot of controversy for some, based on aesthetic reasons, however we love it and believe its a step in the right direction for Wellington.

It's right at the top of Brooklyn, the drive is always an interesting one to see who's ears pop first as we climb higher!

As always it was a stunning sight and the views were totally breath taking.

We decided to take a walk alongside the 'Predator Proof Fence', the track runs along side the Karori Wildlife Sanctuary and its purpose is just as it describes, to keep those nasty predators out!

However with the rain the previous day we had to give up on our walk and find somewhere else!

"Can we go to a play area please?!" rang out from the back of the car so we headed down to Shorland Park which is in Island Bay. Bethany had a good old time as always and couldn't believe her luck when we told her we wanted to go to the beach (which is just over the road) to hunt for crabs!

This beach is a beautiful one, naturally beautiful and with the long storm water feature style walkways - it begged to be photographed many times.

From the turbine to beach, man made to natural, both aesthetically pleasing for many different reasons.
