One Of Those Days...

Its just been one of those days today, where time hasn't been an issue and the day has just sailed along calmly. The views over to the South Island Kaikoura mountains were just phenomenal. I just sat for ages in the car looking at the snow capped mountains in awe. Its difficult to get a good picture to do it any justice though.

We met up with Sarah and Sophie at Te Papa (Charlotte now attends morning Kindergarten) and had a brilliant time in the Te Huka ā Tai which is an amazing place where through play children can learn about Māori culture. Bethany and Sophie had a great time playing the games, dressing up, and learning colours and shapes in Māori.

The view from Te Papa was another amazing sight, as winter has now officially started, the snow on the Rimutaka Range was stunning.

In the afternoon we met up in Island Bay at the park. As Charlotte's Kindi session had then finished for the day, the girls had a brilliant play together and we all had a really relaxing time on the beach. How lucky are we to have all this in one gorgeous spot?

Despite the low temperatures the weather couldn't have been better, the colours in the sky were reflected in the ocean which had the most amazing calming effect. Once again, just another one of those beautiful days.
