OK so straight away I can see you are wondering what is so exciting about our local supermarket right? Well it is like any other supermarket in the world, for those of you in the UK we would say it was pretty much Morrisons.
But there is something special about this supermarket, it is so special in fact that Billy Connolly made a visit here when he was on his World Tour of New Zealand. If you have seen the show you will have seen a part where he went to view some work by the 'Toast Man' - well that was our local supermarket!
Maurice Bennett owns the supermarket and is the man who has created some of the most brilliant pictures and portraits from pieces of toast. You can see from his website the huge collection of other pieces of art and that he has also completed a portrait of Peter Jackson.
However it's not just toast though....can anyone guess what this one is made from?!
