Our Easter Break

Well we have had a lovely Easter break, its been fab having Michael off work and as always we made every second count. On Friday we went to a place called Otaki Gorge. The drive is quite long through mountainous terrain but then you are faced with amazing beauty in the gorge so its well worth it.

We had a lovely walk around, a paddle in the river and took to the really scary wire bridge!

Saturday morning we were greeted with the most amazing cloud formation we have ever seen. It was absolutely breath taking, with the sun rising it created a magical sight as it reflected on the still ocean.

Saturday afternoon Michael had a rugby match. I went along with Mark and we took the kids to watch too. Michael did really well and although I watched most of the match through my fingers, he emerged with only a few injuries!

He is number 17, see if you can spot him...

Saturday night we had a great time as I had a girly night with Jen and Michael and Mark got together. Lets just say a good night was had by all and Mark and I switched houses at 2.30am!

We were awoken on Sunday morning by a hyperactive 3 year old who couldn't wait to see what the Easter Bunny had left her. She grabbed her basket which she made the day before and headed off into the garden...

Sunday afternoon we went on a picnic with Mark and Jenny. We went along to an area called Eastbourne and walked along the track beside the sea. It was a gorgeous walk and we had perfect weather. We settled down and had a fab picnic, such a lovely spot.

After we all went back to the park, had teas, coffee's, ice creams, played footie and lazed around in the sun....what a perfect way to spend a Sunday afternoon.

How was your Easter weekend? Leave us some comments please! :-)
