The Geek Bit

Ok, so I've not really discussed what I do at work, so for those not in the know, here's a summary.

I currently work in a 3rd line support role, and as part of the team we are responsible for the maintenance and support of the IT infrastructure.

My role involves support of Microsoft-based, Citrix, VM, Terminal and web servers in a thin and thick client environment as well as involvement in project work. This role is similar to my previous one in the UK, but much more challenging. The section consists of several teams, some supporting applications, teams for Microsoft and UNIX/LINUX platforms, a network team, a User Support team and other specialist areas such as Project Management.
