Bye Bye, Brooklyn Kindy

It was Bethany's last day yesterday at Brooklyn Kindergarten, she joined way back in April and despite the initial letting go problems (for us both) she grew to love it. It became somewhere familiar, somewhere with close friendships and somewhere amazing stories developed and were told with an enthusiasm I had never heard before.

Earlier in the morning Bethany and I made a gorgeous photo picture for the wonderful teachers to thank them and wish them goodbye. Bethany proudly handed it to Anna, Jayne and Liz and then skipped off demanding attention from her Kindy buddies.

I stayed for the last afternoon and watched as Bethany set up the puppet show area and did a wonderful show for the children who giggled with delight at the funny noises she made!

She then went on to do some princess bouncing before drawing pictures of our new home to show everyone.

There was then a gathering and a lovely farewell song from everyone at Kindy which was sung in Maori and English. Its been a magical journey for us all, we have had good and bad times, ups and downs and lots of learning but Bethany has grown and developed so amazingly since being at Kindy.

We will never be able to thank these utterly superb teachers enough for what they have done and for making the kiwi children the stunning souls they are today.
