I can't believe its been a whole year since the last Christmas party, a whole year!
This year it was at Joan's house and with Chris her hubby just catching the Groper, Crayfish and Paua that morning I knew I was going to be happy!! 
We had a brilliant time, of course the drink flowed easily, and we had a great time chilling out in the sunshine whilst the children played happily in the pool and in the garden. 
The spread of food was amazing, damn this kiwi living is hard!
We finished the night with the usual (listen to me - the usual!) giving of presents to the children, it was a crazy 10 minutes!
Then we did our secret Santa gifts for each other. We all had so many plans of the funny and possibly embarrassing gifts we could get for each other but sadly the children put an end to that! Sensible gifts for us....well apart from Susan anyway, I don't know, pole dancing and now this! 
We really feel like we have known these guys forever, its a wonderful feeling. After the fab night we rolled ourselves uphill to our house pausing on the bank side to watch the sunset. Magical times...
