Christmas is a funny old time of the year now, living in NZ changes everything about it. Last year we embraced everything and we thoroughly enjoyed everything, especially having Christmas morning on the beach in the sunshine!
However one thing that does spoil it a little is having to get everyone's gifts bought, wrapped, packed and shipped by November 10th! Right now the sun is blazing and sitting wrapping Christmas presents seems really odd. But one good side to it is no last minute panics!
Last year I put Christmas songs on and tried to get 'in the mood' but it just wasn't happening!
We spend just over $300 on postage costs alone last year so we have had to make some changes this year, however it hasn't stopped our living room looking like this...
So for all of you who receive Christmas presents this year, remember the loving amount of effort that went into it all, and remember that it cut into our BBQ time!
