Sadly for poor Vanilla we have no where to bury our 'extended family' like we did at the old house (for risk of being dug up and eaten by a certain dog) and so he had to trundle off to the great big rubbish dump in the sky (I'm sure he will fulfil some type of life journey and be a good meal for a seagull somewhere).
If it wasn't bad enough that Chips now alone, she has also been 'downgraded' from her flashy tank down to a standard bowl. We had moments of trying to decide if we should give her away but after nearly having her 2 years there was just no way I could part with her.
However so far, 1 new bowl = 1 unhappy fish.
(Note: Chips isn't that big - she is magnified in the bowl!)
I am sure in time she will get over it, she has already started to make escape attempts (by jumping and making the most amazing splashes) and she is still eating the food we put in so it can't be that bad.She needs to count herself lucky anyway, because the way Denver has been sitting there intently watching her each day means she could have a much worse fate!
