The summer commute to work was awesome. Hot bright summer mornings, leaving home at 6.30am to blast along State Highway 2 on the motorbike, not sitting in the queues at traffic lights but filtering to the front.
The stark reality is that for the coming months, the train is likely to be the method of commute as the winter mornings are going to be cold.
It's not yet officially winter, and here's the weather station reporting the outdoor and indoor temperature at 6.15am when I managed to drag myself out of bed the other morning! Heading out into 1.3C isn't how I like to start my day!
