With the sunshine visiting us more often nowadays the summer feeling is starting to creep back. Just yesterday we heard our first Cicada in the garden and dragonflies hovered round our decking. Of course with that summer feeling comes...the first BBQ of the season!!!
We were lucky enough to enjoy the company of our dear friends Stef, Rich and Daisy. It was such a wonderful afternoon and the weather couldn't have been more perfect, blissfully blue skies.
Stef and I wistfully sat in the sunshine drinking some of the most delicious drinks that always seem to taste better in the blazing sunshine, the boys hovered by the BBQ and the girls played, we all laughed and we all got to enjoy the best bonding session...finally getting to introduce our 5th family member - our much beloved BBQ!!
The girls had fun doing what girls usually do, dressing up, playing games and making much use of the trampoline. 
Plenty of food, drinks and ice-cream later seemed to send us all crazy. Stef decided to show us her gymnastics on the trampoline (which scarily looked like a tampon advert), Bethany of course then wanted to re-inact what just happened!
Then it got even wilder...we got out the face paints! I know, we really do know how to throw a party. Maybe we should rename the blog 'Wild Dawes' :-)
We all got a turn, should have read the box really and I am sure it would have said 'results may vary'.
Typically in usual Stef fashion she had to face paint like we were in some national face painting competition and opted for a 3D bunch of grapes on Rich's cheek...some people eh?

One fantastic afternoon. That summer feeling was well and truly happening and I am going to be optimistic and say BBQ season is now in full flow! Choice!
