Whānau Time

We must be really wicked.

Well that's what 'they' say anyway.
No rest for the wicked right?

It's certainly been one heck of a busy time the last few months, birthdays, Christmas, New Year and now we have the next fantastic thing: a visitor!

Lynn, my mother in law arrived from the UK today! We are so unbelievable pleased that she is here. Even though it's been two years since her last trip out to NZ it feel like we have never been apart. She has always been in our hearts and in our thoughts and now with the wonders of Skype and emails it feels like only yesterday we were together.

We awoke at 6am eager to start the day, Bethany was up also, it was the first time we had baked cakes at 6.30am!

The ride down to Wellington Airport was met with excitement and anticipation and I promised I would not cry...yeah right!

As Lynn arrived at 9.30am it's going to be one long day for her to stay awake. We took a ride to the shops and to the park to try and keep active but sadly the weather really wasn't great.

We retreated after a little play to just spend some quality time together at home. So far Bethany has given Grandma the grand tour of the garden, painted her toe nails, done some drawing and played Barbies. Bethany will never tire, yet I can imagine Grandma will soon!

We also got some lovely gifts too from our family back in the UK, and some little treats from our favourite shops in the UK too. Not to mention the Duty Free...!

The next two weeks are going to be absolutely awesome!
