Climate Change

One thing is for definite New Zealand has some of the most temperamental weather. One day it can be the calmest of days, reaching 25 degrees and people are swimming in the ocean, and then literally the next day it can be 11 degrees with a horrendous howling wind and rain, and not only that, sometimes this can happen the same day!

With the climate change affecting many countries around the world I can firmly say New Zealand seems to be able to cope pretty well. They are really clued up already on earthquakes, landslides and tornados and so I think this makes them feel 'more prepared'.

Where I used to live in the UK it would be prone to the usual weather changes but yet no-one ever seemed prepared. I remember on many occasions going to the supermarket after a tiny snow fall and it being sold out of milk and bread!

It's now summertime here in NZ but that doesn't mean clear skies and sunshine, for some reason we have been hit with a lot of rain all in one go, and literally 30 minutes up the road from us have been dealing with some of the worst flooding they have ever had.

Really there are only two explanations for this, either it's climate change or it's all the bloody English expatriates bringing the weather with them!
