Happy New Year!! Woweee 2008, and we are in New Zealand!! Only our second New Year here, but it feels like forever.
We had a fantastic time, alas having children means that the celebrations are not what they used to be but we still had the most amazing time. We loaded up the car and headed to Makara Beach.
We arrived to see two other parties ready for the night, one far along to the left of the beach with a little camp fire roaring and another party to the far right at a Bach. We set up at the side of the beach, put down the seats in the car, laid out the duvets and kicked back.
Michael set up the BBQ's and set about doing the man thing, whilst Bethy and I hung out on the sand, running, drawing pictures, collecting shells and just having the most gorgeous time.
We chilled out, ate food, drank heaps of beer (well I did but Michael was driving!) and waved at passers by on the beach.
We watched the sunset and waved goodbye to 2007...welcome 2008. We hope you had a fantastic time wherever you were in the world.
